What shipping service do you use?
All orders being shipped to a continental US address are shipped via United Parcel Service
Do you ship to APO/FPO/Alaska/Hawaii?
Yes. Orders being shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, APO or FPO address will be shipped via the United States Postal Service. Additional charges apply. Express or overnight delivery is not available.
Do you ship internationally (including Canada)?

How much does shipping cost?
Shipping charges are based on your unique location and package weight. You can easily calculate shipping charges on the website by placing desired items in the shopping cart. On the lower left side of the shopping cart page, you will see a link entitled CALCULATE SHIPPING CHARGES. Click on this link and it will ask for your destination city, state and zip code. The shipping charges will then be automatically displayed, and you may proceed to check out or empty your basket and start over again.
Can I order with expedited shipping?
Yes. Orders shipped to continental US addresses only may be upgraded to expedited shipping. Available services are Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air, and 3 day select. Not all addresses are eligible for expedited shipping.
How do I check the status of my order?
We will send you an e-mail as soon as your order has been shipped which will include the information to track your order. You may also call us at 800-268-1041 to check the status of your order.
Are Susie Q’s products gluten free?
Yes. If you have specific allergy questions please contact customer service at 805-937-2402.
What is the shelf life of Susie Q’s products?
Seasoning and mixes =12 months. (SM Seasonings may fade if stored near light, but loss of flavor is minimal even after 12 months)
Bottled Sauces=24 months
Do you have a corporate order program?
We do offer a corporate ordering program. Please contact us at 800-268-1041 as our discounts are based on volume.

How should I store Susie Q’s products?
You can store Susie Q’s products as you would any shelf stable pantry product. A cool dry area away from direct sunlight provides the best environment for storage. Bottled sauces require refrigeration after opening and should be tightly sealed.
Do I have to buy in case quantities?
No. All Susie Q’s products are available individually. However, if you would like to buy in case quantities we offer all retails customers a 5% discount off per case.

What forms of payments do you accept?
We accept checks, money order, debit cards, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover.
Can I change my order once it’s been placed?
Yes. As long as your order hasn’t shipped we are able to change most orders. Once special orders have been placed we are not able to cancel those.
Will I receive a confirmation for my order?
Yes. Once you place your order via our website you should receive a confirmation within a few minutes. If you don’t receive a confirmation and are concerned there may be a problem with your order please contact us at 800-268-1041.
What about backorders?
We strive to keep all items in stock. However, from time to time we may be out of an item. In this case we will contact you and let you know the status of the item. At that time you may keep the item on an open backorder, or if you wish you can cancel the item and reorder at a later date. Either way you will not be charged any additional charges for shipping, and we will not charge your credit card until your item is shipped from our facility.
How do I cancel my order?

How much Santa Maria Seasoning do I need to barbeque for a large group?
Below is a general guidline for seasoning to meat ratio
||1 tri tip or 1-3 lb chicken
||16 tri-tips or 24-2 lb chickens
|27 oz jar
||27 tri-tips or 40-2 lb chickens
How many beans do I need for a large group?
One pound of beans will make approximately 15 half cup servings.
Do you have advice on seasoning and cooking time for various cuts of meat?
Meats under 1” thick: Sprinkle both sides lightly with Susie Q’s Santa Maria Style Seasoning before placing meat on prepared pit of red oak coals. Cooking time will be about 20 minutes.
Meats 1”-2” thick: Sprinkle meat heavier with Susie Q’s Santa Maria Style Seasoning for this thicker cut. Cooking time will be about 30-40 minutes.
Meats 2”-3” thick: Pour Susie Q’s Santa Maria Style Seasoning into a pan and lightly dip or roll meat in it, rubbing all surfaces well. Cooking time will be about 50-60 minutes.
Meats 3”-4” thick: (Tri Tip, Sirloin, Prime Rib Roast) Pour Susie Q’s Santa Maria Style Seasoning into a pan and dip or roll the meat heavily in it, rubbing all surfaces well. Cooking time will be about 1-2 hours. Thick pieces of meat seasoned well and cooked slowly will naturally be more flavorful.
Can I use Susie Q’s Santa Maria Style Seasoning on food other than meat?
Susie Q’s Santa Maria Style Seasoning is a uniquely versatile blend adds a anew dimension to all savory foods that you would normally season with salt & pepper. Add a sprinkle to finish dishes, a pinch to recipes while cooking, or as a grilling rub. You will be deliciously surprised with the results.
Should I soak beans before cooking?
Not necessarily, we have found the beans to be more flavorful when cooked without presoaking.
Why are the beans so firm?
Dry beans contain moisture, which diminishes with age. Beans that are kept past the recommended shelf life will be more firm than a freshly harvested crop. Adding a rich meat product, such as bacon, during cooking can help as would a tablespoon of butter.

Purchasing a Gift
Can I send a gift to someone else in addition to myself?
Yes. We charge a nominal fee of $6.50 for each gift shipment to a different address.
Do you gift wrap?
Yes. All of our merchandise can be gift wrapped for $6.50 per gift. A personalized card is included with each gift wrapped item. Many gift packs are already beautifully packaged and no additional wrapping is necessary.

Returns & Exchanges
What is your return policy?
We guarantee your satisfaction with our products 100%. If you wish to return any of your merchandise we will exchange, credit your account, or issue a refund minus the shipping cost. Whatever you decide, your we will handle it promptly and courteously.
How do I return an order?
Please contact us at 800-268-1041 and we will give you the return instructions. We ask that all returns be made within 7 days of receipt of order. If there is an error on the part of Righetti Specialties, Inc./Susie Q’s Brand Products we will contact UPS to have your merchandise picked up.
What do I do if my order is wrong?
Please contact us immediately at 800-268-1041. Tell us what is wrong and we will get it taken care of immediately.
What do I do if I receive damaged goods?
Please contact us at 800-268-1041. Tell us which item(s) were damaged, please retain all packaging as UPS at times has requested to inspect it, and we will handle the rest.
When will I receive refund check or credit back to my credit card?
After your merchandise has been received, we will issue a refund back to your credit card account within 7 business days. A refund check will take up to 14 business days. The refund may not show up on your credit card billing statement for up to 2 billing cycles.
Will I be refunded for my shipping costs?
Shipping costs are non-refundable, unless there is an error on our part.
Do you have a retail store?
We do not have a retail store. Our family restaurant the Far Western Tavern in Guadalupe, California is our outlet and carries all of our products. Also, check our store locator to see if there is a retail location near you.
