We are big fans of the Susie Q Santa Maria Style Seasoning. This is a wonderful product that we have found to be quite versatile. We have used it in two extremes of cooking: as a pre-seasoning to lamb chops before grilling, but also as rub for Texas-style briskets that were smoked for 18 hours (to die for, BTW). For the brisket, the mix of garlic, parsley, salt & pepper made for a nice crusty rub that brought out the meat’s best flavors. The same mix, applied just before simple grilling the those lamb chops pulled out a delicious flavor of grilled lamb without overpowering the meat. Just a nice balance.
So far we have used in pre-cooking seasoning agent only, but we are sure it would also be great to use on a freshly cooked steak to really bring out its best flavors too.
Also have purchased the Citrus Rib Glaze, but haven’t used it yet. Can’t wait.
